A field condition—inspired by the Pomona freeways and borrowed from an exercise early in the semester—defines an algorithm to fulfill the building requirements.

This landmark school serves the downtown core, forming a ground level plaza that connects cafe, parking lot, arts district, local businesses, and a mural of the late artist Karl Benjamin. Specialty functions such as offices and studios rise to 12 stories, giving users views of the San Gabriel Mountains to the north and the Chino Hills to the south.
